SPRINGTIME FLOWER PROPOSAL IDEAS

The days are longer, the sun is out and the flowers are blooming. Spring! The perfect time of year to propose with flowers.

Did you buy her flowers on your first date? Suprise her with the same type of flowers and tie the ring to them with ribbon. Or for a more traditional marriage proposal you could select a dozen red roses.

Now that the weather is better you have the option of proposing outside. How about packing a picnic basket with champagne and your partner's favourite types of food and taking her to a field of flowers or botanic garden and being surrounded by the colour and aroma of spring flowers is such a romantic setting for an engagement. Or if you don't have access to a flower garden you could use flower petals and shape them into a heart around your picnic basket.

For a more creative proposal that takes a little more planning, you could plant flowers that will spell out 'Will you marry me?' in spring when they bloom. This would surprise and delight your partner with the thought and preparation that went into the proposal.

When choosing the flowers make sure to think about her favourite type of flower or favourite colour. Some flowers that will be in bloom in springtime (in the Southern Hemisphere) are the calla lilies, anemones, roses, tulips, bluebells, daffodils, and peonies.

So why not make it a spring to remember by bringing out that inner romantic with a springtime flower proposal.
